Five Ways To Father Like God (June 2015)
Leading up to Father's Day, we wanted to take a look at how God is a Father to us and how we might learn some lessons to be better father's within our own families. This does not only apply to dads! It applies to the principles of how we treat others in all areas of life. Let's learn together about what a tremendous Father our God really is!

Message 1 - Enjoy It! (6/7/15)
This series will look at five ways to father like God. The first way is to realize that God made us for His pleasure and desires fellowship with us, to communicate to us in loving ways and to be present with us! We also can and should intentionally enjoy the children that he has given to us. We will explore some verses about how God seeks to enjoy us and then look at some practical ways that fathers can play with and enjoy their kids. Why is this important? So our kids do not simply see us as a disciplinarian who says “no” or a rule maker with high expectations. They see that fun is a part of life!
Main Point: God enjoys us so let’s enjoy our family!
Speaker: Pastor Greg Serafino

Message 2 - Protect & Provide (6/14/15)
God exerts protective care over his children. The scriptures are full of examples and resources that point us this way. As parents, especially as fathers, we have to protect in many ways! We also have the responsibility to provide, but that responsibility sometimes gets misunderstood. God loves to provide for us. One of His names is Jehovah-Jirah, “God Provider,” and He will always be our provider and he always wants to bless us as we honor Him through obedience! Dads can provide and bless their children and protect them from all sorts of influences as our heavenly father does for us.

Message 3 - Love & Lead (6/21/15)
Being the right kind of father means that we have a grasp of the kind of love that God the Father shows toward us. It means that we strive to be a reflection of that same kind of love toward our family. Also, children of God, we learn our values, wisdom and direction in our spiritual lives from His Words. They are always available to us and yet we have to choose to listen, learn and follow! in the same way, fathers have the opportunity to instill these things into their children as firm foundations in the family tree.
